On Sunday, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, HMD unveiled a series of consumer tech innovations, including new Barça-themed phones feature phones, privacy-focused smartphones, and a few accessories.

“Our Better Phone project also worked with teens, parents and experts to understand how to introduce smart devices to families, and we’re excited to launch our first device built on its foundations, the HMD Fusion X1.

HMD Fusion X1: A family-centric smartphone
HMD launched the Fusion X1, the first device in its new Family division. Developed in collaboration with Xplora, the Fusion X1 aims to promote healthy digital habits among children with strong parental controls. This initiative responds to findings from the HMD Better Phone Project Report, which surveyed 25,000 children and parents globally. The report revealed that over half of children aged 8 to 12 feel they are experiencing phone addiction in 2025, and this phone has been designed to help them come out of it.
FC Barcelona partnership: Launch of Barça-themed feature phone
Strengthening its partnership with FC Barcelona, HMD introduced two Barça-themed devices: the HMD Barça 3210 and the HMD Barça Fusion. Both models feature a “detox mode,” aligning with HMD’s commitment to encouraging balanced digital usage.
New feature phones
HMD expanded its feature phone portfolio with the introduction of the HMD 130, 150 Music, and 2660 models. These additions come as the company experiences double-digit growth in this segment for the second consecutive year, reflecting a sustained consumer interest in feature phones.
Amped Buds: Innovative wireless earbuds
The company also unveiled the Amped Buds, a pioneering pair of wireless earbuds. The accompanying charging case not only powers the earbuds but also serves as a wireless charger for compatible smartphones, offering users enhanced convenience, which attaches to a phone magnetically like a MagSafe.
