ChatGPT now lets you download Deep Research reports as PDF: Follow these steps | Technology News

An option to save the report as a PDF is finally being added to the Deep Research feature within OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Deep Research enables users to perform multi-step research for complex tasks.
After submitting a prompt, ChatGPT scans hundreds of websites, gathers information, and creates a comprehensive report. “It accomplishes in tens of minutes what would take a human many hours,” the company had said at the time of the launch of Deep Research.
You can now export your deep research reports as well-formatted PDFs—complete with tables, images, linked citations, and sources.

Earlier, you could only choose to copy a report after it has been created. But the problem with the ‘copy’ option is that the formatting of the original report is lost. For instance, the formatting of ChatGPT’s Deep Research report is distorted when it is copied into a Word document. One possible solution to this problem is using the new ‘Download as PDF’ option.
A user on X was the first to point out that ChatGPT’s ‘Download as PDF’ feature is being tested on the web version of the AI chatbot platform. After a Deep Research report has been generated, there is an option to export the report as a PDF, which could help maintain the original layout of the report. Follow these steps:
– Click on the share icon visible on the upper right hand corner of the Deep Research report
– You will see an option to ‘Download as PDF’
– Tap the button for the Deep Research report to be saved as a pdf on your device.
In an update on May 17, OpenAI announced that the PDF downloads option for Deep Research reports is now fully available to free ChatGPT users as well as paid subscribers of ChatGPT Plus, Team, Pro, Enterprise, and Edu as well.
